A lesson in life - got a shock of my life

"Do you know that your click will have implication on your performance? It will also affect other's perceptions on you. Try to mix around with ppl within our mentor group, they're very responsible people." My mentor manager told me this. I don't know what she's trying to imply. I only know my heart sank when I got this informal advise from her.

I have close friends in office. So, what? Whoever I want to close with, whoever I want to make friends with, they also want to have a say. Work is work, personal is personal. Can't I make judgement on what's wrong and what's right myself? Am I taking words from others blindly? I'm not born yesterday, okay?? (Lesson to learn: mix around with ppl they like and it must be seen by them. Being close with their pets behind them is also useless.)

I get so moody today and I'm thinking my next course of action again... it's a bad cycle to me, keep repeating and repeating. One time I thought I'm alright; then, I'm so listless and down.

Please... please... please.... don't torture my mentality anymore. I will lose the strength to move on

Yeah.. maybe ppl are right... I should have just left last time... But I must be responsible for my own decision. If not because I withdrew my resignation letter, I wouldn't have learnt so much lessons in my life, would I?

Dusty room.....

For those who stayed in sg, do you think your room is dusty? I really cannot stand it and I close off all the windows, big or small and will never open again.......

One day trip to Bukit Lamba

It's been a year since last visit to Bukit Lamba. Melvin suddenly proposed the idea of climbing Bukit Lamba on Friday and we set off to Kluang the next day morning! Crazy. But anyway, Kluang is very near to JB. It's only 1 hour plus drive.

Talking about Kluang, there's something I wouldn't miss if I travelled to Kluang. That's the coffee shop at Kluang Railway Station.

Little renovation noted. At least a proper board was put up to show the name. hehe.

My usual way of order: Baked soft bun + hot drink (Coffee or Tea)

After breakfast, we went straight to Bukit Lamba. It was quite crowded as it was public holiday on June 2, 2006. I was merely told by my mum it was public holiday, not knowing what exactly the day was. Majority were from JB as we met a few groups of ppl from JB. Some were practicing for their Mount KK, some came for the sake of hiking. A word from a uncle I find it very funny: "You also from JB? 为什么这么多傻人??" Well.... it's a place for exercise... where do you see mountain or hill in JB?

Visitors are welcomed by the hanging bridge....

The way to half hill is not a difficult task to anyone. Basically you just walk only. There are made with staircase for easier climbing. Certain part is quite steep though.

There are staircases.... Just take your step slowly...

Little waterfall on the way to half hill.

We took about 30 minutes to reach half hill, including the time we took pictures here and there. It's not a difficult task right? But then, by the time we reach half hill, we're actually in a sweat.

Journey to top hill is a challenge to me. The path is not nicely constructed and one really needs support from the tree root and robe all along the way. No more staircase and no more walk along the way but climb.

Rocks are everywhere......

Steep and rockery... but路是人走出来的....

*scream* AAAaaaaa.... 恶心

From half hill to top hill it took us about 45 mins. 脚已经很酸了.....

A view at top hill... it's nothing though...

Bukit Lamba is a good place for exercise. It's not really difficult to climb. I saw auntie, uncles and even kids can do it. It further evidences that it's a place for family. But then, again, 上山容易下山难, what old ppl said are right. Going down, one must be very very careful cos it's slippery. An advice is to lower down your body, 放低重心, it helps. :) That's also why you'll get your body sore and pain the next day. hehe..

Strongly recommended

Do you find your face oily 2 hours later you apply your moisturiser at night? Or when you wake up in the morning you also find your face's shinning especially your nose? The moisturiser I use is cream. It is a medium-weight cream and hence it's oily compared to other moisturiser. Hence, I always find my face becomes shining and I don't quite like the sticky feeling.

Ettusias was the first brand I looked at after I dumped those counter products. I read about Medicated Acne Night Time Defense Powder at Cari and their comments sort of drew my attention. I've been using for about 2 months time and I think it's great. It resolves the problem I have with moisturiser and I feel my skin fresh!

p/s: Misty, this is the one I wanted to tell you last time but the url was not accessable. I think this costs more in Singapore. But this brand is only available in KL...

Parkson's Member Day

It happened to be Parkson's Member Day yesterday while it's also public holiday in Singapore. I merely recalled a promoter of Kose called me before with regards this, or I wouldn't never know. Thinking that I have some comestic products to shop, hence, I decided to risk for a shopping opportunity where there could have no parkings, long queue at cashier and grabbing stuffs with the crowds, for which I hate the most.

Talking about member day, I can barely recalled the awful shopping experience on Jusco's Member Day. It also fell on weekdays, I specifically took leave on that day to accompany my mum. Woke up very early in the morning (at around 9am ~ yeah, it's really early for me especially it's for shopping purpose) so that we could be the first few early birds to "snatch" the parking lot easily. Well... we're not the only "kiasu" ppl. "Kiasu" aunties were all around. After an hour Jusco barely started business, the shopping centre had flooded with ppl. Two hours later before noon, I immersed myself in the ppl flood and couldn't easily move around. I was also frustrated when come to pay as the queue was really LONG. So in the end, I didn't get a thing as the shopping mood was spoiled and I told myself never to shop on whatever member days as it's just a waste of time. An advice to Jusco shoppers - Should you want to shop during member day, visit the store the day before member day, have a full grasp of what you want and list it down. On member day itself, grab the things you want within the first hour and go!

Back to Parkson's Member Day... I've never been to Holiday Plaza for long long time. Maybe 2 years since I last visited, or longer than that I guess. Basically I don't like Holiday Plaza cos I don't have a good feel about this shopping mall. Ppl there don't really look nice and friendly. To the contrary, many Ah Beng, Ah Seng and Ah Lians. (No offence please.... That's exactly the feeling) It wasn't really crowded yesterday whereby I got my car parked nicely within 5 mins and I finished shopping at Parkson within an hour (partly because there wasn't much that interest me). What did I buy yesterday?

1. Britney Spears Curious

The smell is alright for me. I bought it partly because the design of the bottle and the packaging. The packaging is very unique right? :)

2. Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum
I don't anyhow buy facial product ever since I'd paid so much "tuition fee" for trying out many brands. But now, I'm Dermalogica's user and I don't look at other brands since then. This product from Clarins drew my attention. I tried out and I like the texture very much. This serum is not oily at all and it's absorbed by skin within seconds!
Inevitably, our pores are enlarged with age. Precaution is essential at this awkward age (not young but yet old). If you're looking for the similar product, I strongly recommend this.

3. YvesSaintLaurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)

This is the star product of YvesSaintLaurent. This can be used as concealer, as well as a highlighter that brightens your complexion. I came across this by chance. I think the most common concealer that other brands usually have are concealer stick which I don't really like it. I was looking for one in liquid form. I was stunned by the design of this concealer. Amazing and awesome! You press the button and the liquid will flow to the brush. What you need to do is just to brush at the area you want to apply and blend lightly with fingertips. Easy to use! Moreover, the texture is so fine and it looks natural on your face. It can even used without make up!

Read the review from other media.

I bought this for the sake of buying. Basically I need a loose powder at a cheaper price than SKII. I have one and I leave it at Singapore. The size of the packing is not convenient to carry around. Hence, I thought of getting another brand (I'm sure any other brand is cheaper than SKII for sure) and leave it at home in JB for use. This is an easy to carry loose powder and it doesn't bring much burden to your face. It could also be a star product of Clarins, I think. The powder is compact, unlike the usual loose powder we see in the market, which is really in loose form. If you're running out of loose powder and feel like trying out other brand, get this!

Don't ask me how much are these 4 products in total. I didn't count.... :)
