Siem Reap Trip - Part 6

Talking about hot balloon ride, how would you expect it to be?

Would it be something like this which will take you around the city? An exciting trip where you float above the city and drift with the breeze?

Where you sit in the wicker basket with a limited number ppl, when the hot air ballon is operated by an experienced operator? Maybe you could be having champagne breakfast while flying? (Ohh okay... I know it's too much... but there is really such deal.)

And you run the risk where the balloon or the wicker basket will get burned?
Sound so tempting and exciting right?

Can you imagine when you're excitedly going for the hot air balloon ride and you see the balloon looks this?

There is no hot air... but lots of ropes...

And the wicker basket become a donut shaped gondola surrounded by ropes as if you're put in jail?

And the balloon doesn't take you around the city but it flies straight upwards and stop at certain height? Can you see the string that ties to the balloon?

Anyway.... it's only USD 15. I can't be expecting the ride be that adventurous as I imagine. The ride only took you 15 mins. So it cost USD1 per min for the ride.

At the visitor centre there's this signboard which put up all the scenery you can view high above the sky - Angkor Wat and Bakheng are one of them.

But, there weren't much scenery view. I was thinking maybe the weather was not that good that morning. The best view I can shot of Angkor Wat were as follow, pretty disappointing.

Angkor Balloon is something you can try after visiting to so many temples in the Angkor. Whether or not it is worth for money? You judge it yourself.

Let's go Barossa Valley for the adventurous hot air balloon air ride next time. Anyone interested? Heehee...
