Maybe I "suagu", I learnt it only yesterday.

Download at: http://www.msnshell.com/

Setting:

1. Uncheck "revival hot key"

2. Check "enable quick concealment". Select your preferable "shotcut" for concealment.

Then, by pressing that shortcut, you can hide out your MSN or "revive" your MSN using the same shortcut. It's a bit like: 你看到啦.... 没有啦...... that kind of feeling. *blink*

Your boss won't see you chit-chatting around next time.

There are some other features you might find it handy also, e.g. weather forecast, slide display picture etc. Explore yourself and have fun.

Love fragrance

L'occitane lauched a new set of cherry blossom fragrance sometime ago. As I looked at the brochure I could "feel" the fragrance already. It's difficult that such design and the colour will not catch my attention.

Aiming at this set of product, especially the fragrance touch.

Crab stick cracker

(Raw material)

(Product output)

Do you know you can make cracker by using this crab stick? I only knew this today when my colleague gave me this cracker as festive gift. It is very crispy and not oily at all! You do not need to season it or coat with batter, simply tear the crab stick into pieces and deep fry just like that. So simple right? Surprised me there's no secret recipe!

Some good stuffs to recommend

Product description:

Lavender Vinegar is a natural spot treatment for blemishes. Enriched with A.O.C. Lavender essential oil, a natural astringent, this concentrated vinegar will clean and tighten pores, while perfecting skin. Use sparingly with a cotton swab directly on imperfections.

Rich in naturally antiseptic A.O.C. Lavender and camphor essential oils, this deliciously scented astringent facial lotion tightens pores and regulates sebum levels. Use full strength on blemishes and diluted as a toner for oily and combination skin. It can also be used as a final hair rinse to give the hair extra shine.

My skin was pretty sensitive couple of months ago. It got blemish especially when I double cleansed my face in the evening, for unknown reason.

This brand draws my attention ever since I started using its hand cream and foot cream. As I browsed through the website I came across this product so decided to give it a try. It did deliver excellent results and no more blemish now. Strongly recommend for maintenance purpose.

I'm looking out for other products from this brand.

My dear friend, it's this perfume I used that day. I REALLY cannot "tahan" not to buy this fragrance when I tried out at airport.... I bought it without thinking twice. But to no regret. Hehe. It's already launched at international level in November 2007. Another good buy will be Burberry London. Very elegant scent. Get your anata to buy you as Valentine's gift bah.. :)

Let's drink.

Let's drink, my friend. My treat - Carlsberg's 160th Anniversary Brew. Alcohol content of 5.5%, deliver a pronounced aroma and easy-to-drink beer as it claims.

(Picture provided by Ming jie jie)

Anchor Strong, MC jie jie who urges me to try. I never see someone who would recommend others a beer and yet told her the beer taste like kerosene (or paraffin oil). An alcohol content of 8.8% and I guess it must deliver a burning sensation after drink. According to her, one should mix it with 100 plus or 7-up should he/she finds the beer too strong and taste awful. I have bought a bottle but..... don't have the guts to try. Haha.

I like this song. Simply like it.

Couch potato

Oh gosh..... I've been a couch potato this weekends. I watched 6 episodes of Coffee Prince on Saturday. Then, today, I spent my evening and night watching High School Musical 2 and 200 Pounds Beauty. One is cheerful, but another is sad.

High School Musical 1 was on Channel 5 sometimes ago. That was when High School Musical 2 was about to release and that's how I learnt about .

I didn't intend to watch High School Musical 1 but was merely stunned by this song - Start of Something New. Bascially I like the musical show, their voices are just FABULOUS. So I followed through till the end of the show. It made think of my high school days where I dreamt and daringly pursued. Now, I dream, but I might not pursue...

High School Musical 2 was talking about their summer holidays. I prefer High School Musical 1 maybe because I don't like the theme. Hehe. I dun like summer basically. But Zac Efron looks better in 2nd series. (Yeah... He also participated Hairspray) The only song in High School Musical 2 that impressed me was this - You Are The Music In Me.

Then, I want to talk about 200 Pounds Beauty, which is more controversial.

Before I watched, my sister told me she cried throughout the movie. Yes, from beginning till the end as she felt very sad about this gal. Because of this guy, she lost herself. She sacrificed so many valuable things around her. She even left her dad behind. This reflects truely the cruelty of this society. Everybody likes the beauty on surface before anything - before the inner beauty is revealed.

I see how a person presents in public important. That's what I learnt from Coffee Prince. Frankly speaking, the 2 guys don't really have sharp features but the fact is, they're tall, they have good figure and they dress well! The combination of the above equal to presentable. Guys, if you're not good-looking that's fine cos guys will be looking good if they are tall and muscular. That's why guys go gymnasium. They drink protein and work out just to shape their body which will make them look great.

Then, what about gals? Gals will be looking good if they're slim and fair. The best of all is to have a pair of sparkling eyes. It's okay if you do not have the attributes, it can be mended by flawless make-up. That's why women think cosmetics worth an investment.

All of the above are back to one square - to gain confidence, to be attractive.

I read something today, coincidently. "Deep insecurity is what is ugly, not a flabby belly or chunky thighs.... Ugly is self-prophesying". Ppl easily see things they dun love about themselves; can you list down things that you do like about yourself?

How much you know about watch?

To me, a watch is a device which displays time. It is a timepiece and no more than that. Although it could be masterpiece, I never think of exploring further until yesterday...

I've thought of buying my dad and my brother as birthday gift last month, but I dragged it until yesterday as I was really quite tied up with works until recently where I could have a bit of time for myself. Roughly knew the brand and the model I was looking at, ended up buying different model and different brand though. I didn't just pay for the watch... but an opportunity to explore myself to watch... haha....

I was wondering how does a mechanical watch function without battery. *Actually I later knew there's this mechanical watch and quartz watch... -_-"* Then I was wondering how the watch knows which month I was in when I merely set the date and the day (but I presume the year was preset). I was thinking maybe there was no repetitive match of "date" and "day" in a year. I checked to the calendar, it proved me wrong. For each match of "date" and "day", it repeats twice in a year. I asked my friend who is very addicted to watch, he merely told me it's human's invention plus a word "suagu". -_- To solve my puzzle, the best way to go is "Google". Heehee.

If I don't search, I wouldn't have known there are so much technical information behind a watch. Wikipedia is also informative and you've got to "watch" this. There are also some glossary terms. Gosh.

Please bear with my suagu. Maybe one day I'll become an expert in watches. Just wait. Hehe.

Rich Dad, Poor dad

Read this book a few years ago. As I was waiting someone at MPH, I simply grabbed this book and read again while waiting. Yeah, it did remind me something.

Not to mention what this book is about. In summary, the book is basically telling ppl the only way to be richer is make money work for you. How? Through investment. Invest your money in capital market or buy income-producing assets, e.g. property. It's not investments I want to talk about. Ppl like me with little cashflow in hand can't really afford throwing money into capital market. Plus, I'm such a risk-adverse kind of person + my luck "dai sai" especially this year = I'd better play safe.

As I stumbled upon the book, I have strong feel over these 2 lines: "Work to learn" and "The rich don't work for money".

Indeed, to me (and maybe to most of the ppl), working = learning. I always believe one should not mind putting extra efforts at work, this is especially when you're a new bird in your field. I used to have this mentality in the initial years of working and that's why I didn't mind working late, and most of time I don't mind those times were not charged OT. Sound silly and stupid but that's part of the learning curve. Maybe I was badly affected by the phrase "work to learn" or maybe it's different in this profession as in, you learn and progress if you're willing to spend time. It does make a difference when you're willing to input your personal time into learning the essence of something which will make you stand fit in your position and differentiate yourself from your peers.

To link this to "the rich don't work for money", one must have enthusiasm for work. Once you lost the passion then you'll be ended up working for money, let alone learning and thus no more advancement. Yeah.... Exactly, that's the state I'm in. I finally realise I'm feeling lost because I'm no longer living with this work-to-learn attitude. (Because I thought myself experienced and be contented?) I have too much blames and that's why I feel miserable (always think myself suay and kena all the sai jobs?). I look at my friends, yes.. you... you....and you (my dad, hehe)... one should really expertise your interest while making a living in order to get rich.

For those who think themselves are not moving forward, I hope you can be more aggressive at work... If you think yourself are getting low pay, find a way out! I'm telling myself this also. Oh.. I recalled a comment He-man left me:

"Saving is only part of it.. so the ultimate "solution" is to make more money. there is no limit out there, there is no limit on how much you can earn. don't waste too much time on how can you can save. should spend more effort on how you can make more money."

Different ppl different needs. I'm not workaholic though, I need job satisfaction; I do not need loads of money, I want to be affordable for things I need without worries.

After all, it's the attitude that matters...

What Tarot card are you?

Browsing through the net and read this from LeMontEA's blog... (As I typed her nick, I was wondering in my why "L""M""E""A" in capital letter...)

Anyway... you may also try out for fun.. here's mine..

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

No matter what cards it is, I think this Tarot will say the only wonderful things about one but not the bad. Good eh....

Dining at George and Dragon

Outlook of the cafe

It's not any special occassion. I merely feel like having some good food. So I suggested to have dinner at George and Dragon. I'd been there before with TT, JX and LH. Didn't have the main course last time cos I was called to the place after I had something for dinner. I've been thinking to visit this cafe again to make up the "yi han".

George and Dragon Cafe offers wine, beers and spirit of English food. They claim to serve "best steak in town". All meals are fresh from kitchen and are cooked with homemade stock, MSG free. Also, no pork is served in this cafe. The cafe is run by a lady boss from U.K. (if I'm not mistaken). The decoration at the dining area is also very "England".

As we don't eat beef, hence, only fish and chicken are ordered. According to TT and JX last commented, I believe the steak does taste good. We ordered the soup of the day - asparagus soup and homemade mushroom soup as starter, followed by the main course as follow:

Me and my dad ordered Salmon Fillet - Norwegian Salmon served with vegetable and US Russet potato. I chose to serve with garlic sauce whereas my dad's serve with lemon butter source. I don't know why I actually got a bit sickening with the fish. Nothing to do with the taste of the fish. Maybe because I lost appetite after having the soup filled up my stomach. My dad commented that salmon fillet at Sushi King taste better. haha.

My brother ordered Sherwood Chicken - char-grilled chicken chop with sweet and sour source, served with vegetable and potato wedges. I think it's so so only. Maybe the sauce is not really that fantastic.

Wholegrain Mustard Chicken - my little brother's main course. Deep fried chicken chop with wholegrain mustard sauce (don't know what it is). I didn't try cos it's deep fried. My brother and sis commented that this is the best among the 3 different chicken they ordered tonight.

Fresh Mushroom Chicken - Char-grilled chicken chop served with mushroom. The sauce is fantastic! But too bad, the chicken comes with skin. Gosh. I wonder why they didn't remove the skin?

My mum ordered Seafood Pasta. It's claimed as the best seller of the cafe. Err... it's too late for me to take the picture. As I finished taking pictures with all the chicken chops, the pasta had reached this state. hehe. The pasta was served with plenty of prawns and mussles. The sauce taste good too.

Lastly, homemade dessert. We merely ordered 2 of this Chocolate Fudge with ice-cream and shared. This dessert is really fantastic, I must say. the chocolate is served hot, the ice-cream is cold. The hot and the cold meet together, cum the fudge, perfect match! A must try dessert.

Suddenly have this old song come across my mind. I used to like this song, by 童安格. My world's so grey these days. Hence, what come across my mind is also grey.

The lyrics is very simple. As simple as that.

Does it make you think of anything?
