This is a SUAY engagement

Don't know why this engagement always bring me into deep water. Was this engagement cursed? Cursed by previous AIC? Those who in-charged of this engagement had all left and none of them was the continuity of the engagement, except me!!

Now, the limited review is around the corner and I thought I will have left before this date. Who knows? My PR is still pending and I cannot put down the letter before I get this stupid si ren PR approved. Consequently, I'll need to touch this cursed file again.

This engagement is really a DAMN SUAY STUPID engagement. I show you how SUAY it is now:

Last year end audit:

1. I met this stupid bad assistant and I raised my voice on him at client's place. And I talked about him here.

2. The incomplete set of prior year audit files transferred to my name by this stupid guy made me cannot sleep at night and searched high and low for it. I talked about it here.

3. I had a painful experience with the evaluation and I didn't even want to recall how painful it was. That was when I posted this.

4. A bad working relationship with the manager-in-charge (MIC).

Interim limited review:

5. MIC changed. Current MIC is slightly better than the previous one (but he has the same school of thoughts as the previous MIC since they are sifu-and-student relationship). Never fail bugging me since he took over the engagement.

6. As the MIC is bugging me to confirm the audit timeline. So I called the client to check but she's away in China. Then I was asked to drop her an email and I did so. No reply from the client so this MIC asked me to call her assistant and I did so. (What's the point of calling assistant while she's not the decision maker??????) Then I was asked to follow up with this assistant and I called her again today, no answer from her end. So, I was asked to drop another email.

I finally heard from this client and she claimed that she has responded my email yesterday and somemore resent me the email today, copied the MIC and her director. My god! Seriously, I didn't receive her email at all until today. And the way she replied really embarassed me, as though I didn't check my email properly. (Don't act blur lor.... She shoud know ppl have communication problem with her while she's in China! Email server in China always don't work well!!) But that's fine. As I saw the email I nearly faint. She cannot work with the timeline that we proposed as she could not close her book earlier. Okay, nevermind. What made me faint was she mentioned that she can only close her book on one Friday and proposed me to go in on Saturday!!!!!!!

HALOOOO.... BRILLIANT YOU AH TO PROPOSE SUCH A GOOD START OF AUDIT!
WHY ASK ME WORK ON SATURDAY IDIOT!!

Si Beh SUAY!!!

Received this email from one of the Senior Manager (Opps... when he called me I thought he's just a small kaki..):

Dear all,

As most of you are aware, you have been selected for a short interview by ACRA (not more than 1 hr). Please proceed to training room (29 floor) this coming Monday at 8.45am for a short coordination briefing.

I've attached the interview timings for your reference. Please mark these dates and timing in your diary.

Please contact either XXX or myself if you have any questions with regards to this interview process.

Thanks.

Arghhhhh..... why me??? Why me???? Why me??? Say if there are 1,400 staffs in office, why am I so SUAY being selected as one of the 20???? The chances of being selected is only 1.4%. Talking audit department alone, say if there are 600 staffs (actually I don't know how many staffs are there in my department), everyone is standing only 3.3% chances of being selected also. Walao....

I'm such a problem staff, I'm a newbies, I don't like this office, I want to quit, I have so much complaints, WHAT GOOD WORDS CAN I SAY ABOUT THE OFFICE??? Plus, an hour interview is DAMN LONG !!!

Arghhhhhhh~!!!!!!!

WHY ME ??
WHY ME???
WHY ME????
WHY ME ????
WHY ME ?????
WHY ME ??????
WHY ME ???????
WHY ME ????????
WHY ME ??????????

WHY ME ?????????????????????

It's Chyeen's wedding dinner. She was officially married last Saturday and today was merely her wedding dinner.

Chyeen's my very old friend since primary school. I always regard Peronte, Chyeen and Jiaroti my closest friends in my heart. I do not know if they also think the same. To me, even though we don't really keep in contact, don't talk much over MSN, and will only keep each other posted latest updates once in a blue moon, they are ppl that I trust. They are also ppl I'll seek help from.

We said to attend her wedding dinner together. Jiaroti would come straight from SG and I'd pick Peronte up from his home. While I was on the way to Peronte's house, Jiaroti called.

Jiaroti: Hey... I cannot go over JB. My re-entry permit was expired! I didn't notice.

Me: What? Then how? You're not coming?

Jiaroti: The officer said I can still go in JB by using white card but it could create problem when come to renew my PR. Aiyoh.. I'm now at custom lorrr....

Me: Then? Do you want to come in by using white card then? Eh... it's her wedding dinner leh.. I thought I'd see u.

Jiaroti: But... permit thing is no joke leh... I think I come in and meet you guys at a later date. My permit expired on September 12... So suey.. You ask Peronte help me give Ang Pao ok?

Me: Aiyoh... why so drama one? You make sure you come and see her another time lor.. I'll let her know then...

The wedding dinner was pretty sian... cos Chyeen didn't invite our other old primary school classmates. We're sitting together with her high school classmates (although some are also my junior classmates but not very close). I even called my ex-junior classmate a wrong name... so pai seh... The whole night only the banker never stopped talking. Maybe. Also met Hui Mei, who I've not seen for 9 years also. So surprised. Hui Mei's also Peronte's and Jiaroti's friends from Guan Yue Tuan. Aiyah... Jiaroti.. you rugi lor...

Me & Hui Mei

Peronte, me and Hui Mei. How good if you're also in the picture, Jiaroti.

Chyeen... my best sister... best wishes for you.

Siem Reap Trip - Part 3

。。 。。 。 pai seh。。

Fu Mei Mei

I want to write about Fu Mei Mei simply because she's too cuteeeeeee !! (And my pig sister asked me to write about her too)

Fu Mei Mei, name Fu Jia Xin, is the youngest daughter of my eldest cousin. I put her pics as my display pic and received comments saying that we look alike. Oh my god. Although my eyes are getting smaller, she has single eye lid and mine (although small) are still double eye lid okay. She's so cute that she draws everybody's attention during all the family gathering. Everybody adores her...

When she's a few months old, her face is like hamburger...

Gong Xi Fa Cai?? Hehe..

Innocent smile.. so innocent..

Me & Fu Mei Mei

Mindy, Me and Fu Mei Mei in little night gown

I simply like this pic. This pic could cheer me up.

Long time no see !

Have been meeting old friends these 2 weeks. Those I have not seen for 5 years, and some even 9 years!! Gosh...

I took half day leave yesterday as I didn't have mood to work. As I login MSN, Colin msg me and asked if I was free to meet up. Person that I was meeting included Cher. What??? Cher??? I thought she had left for NZ?? Then Colin told me that she's just come back from her Shanghai trip and will be leaving for NZ today.... I thought I wouldn't have chance to meet her up since I missed out the chances to meet up on the night she came sg. Who else would be coming? Xiu hui (who I have not seen for 4 or 5 years), Shu Khai (I have not seen for 9 years!!!), Colin (8 years? I don't remember if I saw you after we last parted at Sunway).

The cafe that we went last night is opened by their 初中同学 - Hong Hai @ Jln Toby. It's a very old fashion cafe. Light is dim and the environment is just free and relax. As the space is not big, the shortcoming would be, if one of the table chit-chat and laugh out loud, it could be noisy. Okay.. I think we're the table who talked loud and laughed out loud last night. Haha.

Had a bit of chit-chat about our old classmates and recent updates of ourselves. I must say Shu Khai stays as young as 9 years ago, though no significant changes to others as well. Gosh... how did Shu Khai maintain his look??? I wonder. And I only realised yesterday that I actually have Shu Khai as neighbour. He's staying at the same Tmn as I do. Gosh. Haha.

Guys... it's really heart-warming to see you all. I'm really happy to see you guys again after so many years...

I stroke 4D

As you all know, I don't buy 4D usually, not even during chinese new year.

Have thought of buying my car plate number just because I saw twice of my car plate number at Jusco last night. One of which was when I was entering the car park, I saw one car with the same car plate number parked aside. Then I was searching for the parking lot, I intended to wait for a lot but out of sudden just right in front me, this car was leaving. I saw the car number was also the 9992. Can't be so coincident right?? So, first thing in my mind was, maybe I should go buy my car plate number...

I'd think of buying number was also because of the monkey tree number. This uncle went to see the "Monkey God" tree and sms me the number - 9077. I told my mum about it and my dad bought the number. Who knows this number came out first prize, but in a jumping sequence. Gosh! I had a feeling that I might strike my car plate number because thing just happened "over-coincident". Hehe.

I spent RM80 on numbers today (cos I also saw other repeated car plate numbers, haha). Because of the monkey god number's lesson, I bought all difference sequence of the numbers. I was shocked myself when I knew I actually bet RM80 on numbers. Even though I stroke the number but eventually it's still a lost.

Nonetheless... I did bring money to others and it's also the first time I stroke number. It's something worth remembering and feeling happy about it. Hahaha.

Siem Reap Trip - Part 1

Have been thinking of visiting to Angkor ruins for long time. Being one of the 7 wonders of the world, so to me, it's then a must-visit place.

Happened to see promotional fare with Jetstar while working OT in office, so I just turned to ask Yang Boon if she's interested. At the same time, I was also asking around in MSN to see if any others would be interested as well. I got quickest reply from Ninja. Since we have at least 3 person travelling in group, so without much considerations, what most important to me was to grab the cheap ticket first. Whoever feel like joining can join later but at their own expense. Hiak. Ticket was booked on May 18, 2007. Travelling date from September 2 to September 7, 2007. As we did not plan our trip to Phnom Pehn so our stay was limited to Siem Reap. 5 full days at Siem Reap... just relax and take our time slowly...

Didn't read much about the country before I went this round, partly was because I was tied up with work. Parly also because I knew my travelmate have planned for the trip so I can just follow. Hehe. The trip was a bit like 出师不利. Cos I received bomb from F woman telling me that I was not allowed to go on leave. Received a rude email with her usual tone, I felt a bit bu shuang. Was there a need to make big fuss over my leave when it's only a week?

I took 2 days earlier leave to do all the last minute packing. A day before I went off, I was still sending workpapers to my babysitters and also the need to submit stupid timesheet. As the flight was early in the Sunday morning, hence, I got my dad to drive me in Sg on Saturday evening. I was caring too much about the things to bring to Cambodia and the work and I forgot one important thing - I FORGOT MY KEYS! Yes... again... I only realised I came out without keys when I was reaching Tiong Bahru. This was the 3rd time I forgot about my keys and need to call up my landlord for spare keys... Silly me. Hanging around at Tiong Bahru Plaza while waiting my landlord. Thought of going friends' house nearby but none were around. By the time I got into my room, it was already 9:30pm...

Cos need to wake up early at 3 plus the next day, I tried to sleep earlier though, didn't have good sleep still. Yang Boon sms me and told me she's not sleeping cos she afraid she'd miss flight. My dad was previously worrying that I couldn't wake up so he insisted to send me to airport in the early morning but I refused. I set my alarm at 3am though, I forgot my alarm didn't work during weekend so it did not ring at 3am! Gou li. Luckily Ninja called to wake me up at 3 plus. If I were to go airport alone, I think I could the one who missed flight in the end. Hoho.

Flight number 3K595... there we go.... 7:05am (an hour slower than our time) we stepped on Siem Reap - an exciting, tiring, dusty and warm journey began.........

Highlights of Siem Reap trip

Ninja Papa, me and Yang Boon

Just some highlights of the trip - what we did, what we'd seen and what we'd experience. Lazy to write story now.. just post up some pictures first.

The Siem Reap trip was all about:

Market...... wet to dry market..... no matter what market it is, they are basically selling the same thing. Silk is one of the typical goods (as shown in the pictures).

Carving... it's everywhere...

Kampung life style... want water?

Angkor ruins... temples everywhere... until I forgot which one I was visiting....

Hot balloon.... only managed to ride after 3 times of visiting.....

Kids are everywhere at the Angkor ruins.... they're trained to ask money from tourists....

Hiking for "A thousand lingas"........

Things that we did almost everyday: -

Khmer food.... Amok fish is the dish we ate almost everyday..

Dinner at Pub Street........

Ohh ya..... Angkor Market....... went there everyday.. haha...

And..... finally.... some eerie stories..... *creepy*

P/S: You may also visit here for report from other media

Back from Cambodia

3 fella, 2 from Singapore and 1 from Malaysia.
Yes.... I'm back.... Back from Siem Reap.
With 2 extra kgs on weight, sore throat, tanned skin, 500+ pictures.
Many stories to write.... just stay tune. Hehe.
I need time to compile my stories and pictures okay.
