Watch your.....

Wisdom quote from Frank Outlaw. Make sense?

I'm not a knowledgable person. I did a search on "character & destiny".... Ohh I see...... This wisdom quote was extended from a maxim: Character is Destiny, from Heraclitus, who wrote, some 2500 years ago. (Wow~)

What else have I got? There you go...........

1. There's a book called: Character Is Destiny: Inspiring Stories Every Young Person Should Know and Every Adult Should Remember

2. Another book: Character Is Destiny : The Value of Personal Ethics in Everyday Life

3. “Character determines destiny.” In other words, it is not what happens to us that matters, it is what we are able to make of our experiences. Good health and a fine education mean nothing if you are not capable of putting them to good use.

"...... Each of us determines our own character with every single decision we make. Whether you decide to help others or indulge yourself, whether you hone your analytical gifts through constant use or dull them with sloth, you are determining your character – and your destiny. "

And many more.... you search yourself if you're interested. :)

At first I feel : Wah...... What a topic man...... (Or am I just 孤陋寡闻?? )
Then I got bored. Read no more.

Scream

Nothing much.... just feel like screaming out aloud ~~

A word from yiqi:

Thanks.

Actually yiqi, it's not that I don't want to make it true. Do you know I have actually blocked 2 weeks leave? Last week and this week. But see? I'M STILL WORKING. For your information, I have also blocked 3 weeks leave in July but was informed another deadline to commit in July today - another bomb. Let's see if I can go on leave in July...... But I don't get high expectation.

SIAN !! -_-

Apocalypto

As recommended by Whymei... She sincerely passed me the DVD last night. How nice is she huh? She sealed her mouth about the movie, revealed nothing to me.

I watched this today with my sister. The movie has such a great impact on both of us. After watching the movie, I got head spinning, lost appetite; my sister got headache, and also lost appetite. Why would that so? The movie is awesome indeed, it's also sickening! I wonder how Mel Gibson filmed the movie. Some scenes are just real! Too real until I cannot take it. (Suggest you to watch yourself and feel it!)

Wikipedia has lots of information about this movie, start from production, to the fall of Mayan civilization. Feel free to read up.
Mayan civilization could be something that really interest me. It sounds mysterious. Okay.. I tag it as one of the area I want to read more information when I have time. :)

Watch the movie! Strongly recommended!

Midnight car block

On Friday night, I read the headline saying that there'll be police cars patrolling around. Then I was thinking maybe I'll really see police cars around, especially along the Pasir Gudang highway. Just like the area I stay, I can't remember since when, police car is easily noticed during night time.

I played badminton at Permas last night. After badminton, went with whole group of ppl to mamak yum cha. It was pretty late when we all ciao, it's past 1am already. Then it's suggested that a car would be following me till I reach home. It wasn't a good idea for me. Firstly, I didn't see the need to do so. Basically, the public is brought to the awareness of the crime cases but it doesn't mean it will happen at all time. Yes, the next victim could be you but while driving on the road, and I'm sitting in the car, if nothing happen right, what else could happen? The most the bad could bang your car with their car. What else? Could this happen on highway when there're so many cars passing by? No right? I don't see the need to live like a 惊弓之鸟. Secondly, I didn't want to put troubles on others, somemore it's late hour. If it's a friend, then I should say maybe alright. But to a person who I don't really friend with, I really don't see the need. Ppl don't necessary need to oblige to such "duty". So I said specifically that I didn't need ppl follow me and I drove off without a wait. All along the Pasir Gudang highway, I was pretty sure there was no car following at my back. It's only started from the traffic light at Perling bridge, I noticed a car purposely stopped by, then the car started following me since then.

I got panic, then the first thing I would do was to drive fast out of panic. There's a car block at Skudai, of course I got caught by traffic police. Then I told the police the reason why I was speeding was because there's a wira following at my back, and I got panic. You know what this police said? He said, if that's the case, I should report at the Police Station, not to him. DAMN HIM! DARE HE SAID SOMETHING LIKE THIS! Shouldn't he at least go and check who's the driver of the wira?? Moreover, Police Station is just 1Km or 2 KM ahead and I had yet to reach the Police Station and I was blocked okay! Then he asked me if I'm okay with the summon, RM300 payable in a month. I responded that I have no money to pay the summon. Of cos he asked me if I could give him money to buy coffee. I had RM5 in my pocket, so I took out the RM5 and said that's all I had. He was shocked to see the RM5 and asked how would I have only RM5 only. YOU THINK ALL THE CHINESE HAVE LOADS AH??? So? I only have RM5, what's wrong with it? Do I need to answer you as to why I had only RM5?? Well, in the end, he let me off, without taking any cents from me, without summon.

In fact, I was playing a trick with him. I didn't show my purse, but merely took out a small pouch where I put all my cards because I was asked for IC and driving licence. Not a single cent could be found in this small pouch. And also, my intention was to insult the police. If he's asking coffee money from me, he's as good as a beggar. He should feel lucky if I'm this generous to buy him a RM5 coffee, for a person who can work perfectly with their limbs. How much more is he asking? RM50? My foot! Wait long long ~~ Worst come to worst, if he's not happy, just give me summon. I don't mind. There's nothing much the police can do about me. He doesn't get a single cent either. But please, at that late hour, don't they police have more meaningful duty to execute?? Blocking the car to get coffee money is this something police should do at late hour?? Is this so-called safeguarding the safety of the general public?? KNS.

Okay, back to the wira at my back. To cut short the story, I later found out it was one of the badminton playmate when I called. -_-"""" I think he should have told me from the start, shouldn't he? Anyone will get panic when he/she saw a car keeps following at the back without the knowledge it's someone he/she knows.

I brought this up to my brother and I have a word from my brother, if it happens that you're being followed, be calm and don't drive fast. Instead, we should drive slow and safely, and never get panic. There's nothing much the car can do about your car. Worst come to worst, you get banged only. When you're still driving on the road, it means you're safe. The young couple could have saved themselves if they're calm enough to drive to the 24-hours shop when they passed by the shop. Because they're panic, they drove to a dead end and unfortunately, the car also played them a bad trick, broke down. It might not be so bad if they drove to the nearby shoplots because the place wasn't really that rural where there's no shops and no houses.

Just be careful when you're out alone... but don't overly think anything could have happened at all times. Being cautious, of course you could also adopt a low risk approach, say, try to stay at home at night, but if still, something bad really happened, it's all fated. If something bad bound to happen on you, it will happen anyway no matter how cautious you're or how you're trying to avoid. That's what I think.

Starbucks Azuki Frappuccino Blended Cream

Since last introduction of "Banana Java Chips", Starbucks introduces another new drink! It has a very nice name called: Azuki Frappuccino Blended Cream. What's so special about this drink? What's Azuki? I asked the questions as I went in Starbucks. hehe. Bear with my "suagu", I really don't know what is Azuki. I merely know the drink is mixed with red bean (from the picture can tell ok). Well, Azuki is top-graded red bean from Japan. What so special about this drink is Starbucks mixed the coffee bean with the red bean. Customer can choose to have a shot of Expresso to mix with the drink as well. So, as you sip you think you're drinking red bean but it's creamy coffee! The bitter taste of Expresso, the sweet taste of the cream, plus the red bean, they're perfect match. Some people might not like it, but to me, it's perfectly alright.

One thing worth mentioning is the brownie from Starbucks. So far I'd never had cake at Starbucks. I make it quite clear, Starbucks is a place for coffee, and Secret Recipe is a place for cake. Should I want to have cake, I'll have it at Secret Recipe. As I was waiting the coffee, I had a glance through the cakes Starbucks have. Maybe because I watched the TV programme about the making of brownie and chocolate mousse. So when I saw the brownie, it was simply attrative to me. So... I grabbed the last 2 brownies.

The differences between Starbucks' brownie and Secret Recipe's brownie are: 1. The size - Starbucks' brownie is bigger in size; 2. The chocolate on top - Starbucks' brownie has a thick layer of chocolate on top and the chocolate is so rich, sticky and fantastic! Secret Recipe's brownie is topped with a thin layer of melted hot chocolate; 3. The content - Secret Recipe's brownie is merely a plain cake with a bit of smashed walnut, whereas Starbucks' brownie is filled with mixed fruits, e.g. raisin, dried mandarin etc. Comparing the two, I prefer Starbucks' brownie. Of cos, Starbucks' brownie is more costly compared to Secret Recipe. I think almost doubled the price of Secret Recipe's.

Have you tried them yet? Try them when you're feeling down. They could cheer you up.

*For your information, Azuki Frappuccino is best eat with Tiramisu

Suddenly wish to visit Australia..

For so many times I was asked this question: Do you miss Australia? Why don't you stay and work there? And my answer was never: I miss Australia. Straight after my convocation, I returned Malaysia. Never extended my stay there. But today, I suddenly have the urge to visit Australia.

Partly maybe because this H-man suddenly left message here, partly also because JH showed me Melbourne travel guide today as he'll be travelling to Melbourne this Sunday. Although I'd been to Melbourne twice only during my stay in Australia, surprisedly I can still remember out from Melbourn Centre train station, the state library is just opposite and RMIT was just down the raod; Melbourne University is somewhere nearby Victoria Market. Hoohoo...

I could still remember I was staying at 35, Regent St, Kensington, mobile number 0422-601-006. haha.. I can't remember my house phone number though. I only know it's an 8 digits number. I don't know why the house usually has lower temperature than outside. One will feel cold after staying in room for some time. One good thing about this was we wouldn't be feeling so stuffy during summer. However, I could still remember 3 quarters of my stay I was like staying in fridge, especially during winter, everyone freezed. I used to cover myself with 3 thick clothes during winter. Sometimes 3 thick clothes were also not good enough, then I'd wrap myself in the sleeping bag. Come to sleeping, the wool quilt was not good enough also, then the sleeping bag would do me good. Can imagine when you were covered in the sleeping bag, plus a quilt on your top? Sound hot right? hehe... but the temperature was just right for sleep.. ppl might ask why we don't just switch on the heater? We didn't use heater as we didn't have a centralised heater at home. If all of us were to consum heater, the electricity bill would be like AUD400 a month. Nobody wanted to bear such a high cost.

Every weekend we'd be browsing through the catalogue to see what items were on sales for the week. There are 3 supermarkets - Woolworths, Coles and Foodland where we bought the groceries and foods most frequently. Say for example, when Arnord's biscuits were on sales, all of us would be stocking up the biscuits; when chocolates were on sales, then chocolates would be all around the place. Having known what were the everyday low price items seemed important to all of us. Couldn't help it... poor students must find all means to save. When come to paying the goods, I always prayed in my heart, hoping that the price was set wrongly so that I could get the item free. haha.

There were too many things to recall and can't really put all of them in words now. I'm thinking if it's possible to visit Australia in July? Go walk walk and enjoy the weather. Or maybe can go Mt Buller skiing? Or go Great Ocean Road and feel the strong wind? or a short walk at Rundle Mall, sit down for coffee or gelati? Or driving around Barrossa Valley and taste wine? Soo good if I could make this true..

I happened to come across this article today... *sad* Sometimes I really feel that standard of living in Malaysia is too high (or, shall I said our RM is invaluable?), while the salary level in general is low. Hence, many ppl are living in 水深火热之中. Especially JB, things are inflated as we're close to Singapore. Those who work in Singapore have higher purchasing power as opposed to local who work in JB. Imagine a guy (A) earn SGD3,000 and a guy (B) who earn RM3,000...... How much does the food cost? In JB, B could have spent RM5 on lunch whereas B spends SGD2.5o (it's possible to buy lunch at RM2.50, really!) on lunch. A buys 3-in-1 coffee at SGD4.00 and B buys the same thing for RM9. The living of expenses is doubled on B, while there will be extra for A for other additional things. Many ppl are struggling for living in Malaysia.....

Looking at the expenses for a family of 4 members, I really don't see the family could save in any aspect. Car instalment of RM500 is considered low; house instalment of RM900 is also low; living expenses of RM650 sounds extremely low to me; petrol RM200 is also at low end; Mama雜費 RM200? incredible low.... well, think the most they can cut low is the insurance... but having said that, the family doesn't save for future?

How does my family survive? I wonder..... My parents could have raised us up to grown-up, sent us to private schools and even can send me to university. How was all these done? I'd never know.. but I'm thankful.

Gang rape cases enrage public

"Since the gang rape, I’ve been bombarded with calls and SMSes from my constituents who are worried about the increase in violent crime," said Johor Jaya state assemblyman Tan Cher Puk.

State MCA chief Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek urged the public to remain calm. "Do not let racial sentiment go to your head, and turn the crime issue into an emotional topic," he said in Muar

yesterday.

The priority should be to let the police investigate and capture the suspects as soon as possible. "The criminals picked their victims randomly and the public should not think that a particular race is being targeted."

Calling for the SMS campaigns to end, he described these as irresponsible acts which would stir up emotions.

Happy Father's Day

As usual, we ate out at restaurant. My mum suggested a newly open restaurant at Mutiara Rini. According to her, it's a seafood restaurant and the restaurant is always crowded with people (the perception was that food must be nice and cheap there). Hmm.... we're the regulars of a few restaurant, partly because my parents accept only chinese food and are also health conscious, hence, there were only a few restaurants in my dad's list. So I was thinking in mind maybe we should try something new...

My first impression: very creative name... but then the restaurant is a bit "lok kok". Not much renovations was done. Some mamak stalls could have better and grand outlook than this restaurant.

Come to eating, there're certain dishes we wouldn't be missed out - tofu and fish. Cos we grabbed crab and prawns this round, hence, no fish was ordered. Tofu was still one of the dishes, for certain. How's the food then?

This was the best dishes I had tonight. Black pepper crab was oily; veggie was so-so; Indonesian prawn was also not better off than other restaurant. Overall speaking, dishes were a bit of salty. However, there's something which surprised me. The restaurant didn't put pork on its menu. Dishes were also cooked with chicken instead of pork. Hardly see a chinese restaurant which didn't use pork at all right? This best suit me.. cos I don't eat pork (although I also don't like chicken).

This is chrysanthemum tea. Was it really chrysanthemum tea? Look dubious to me cos the colour was too yellowish. Another was, I didn't see chrysanthemum flower. See the water was so clear. It must be some chrysanthemum powder with colour additive. The flowers used must be those re-brew for a few times and merely for "decoration" puporse. Sucks.

Lastly, a group picture. Very "lao tu" right? My mum's idea.... taking a wall as background. Should make use of those customers as background mah.... looked merrier....

Should you want to have seafood, better go those proper seafood restaurant. You can still get seafood at this restaurant but there's a big gap in the quality and freshness...

It's Dragon Boat festival again... time to eat Bak Zhang. My mum has already made the Bak Zhang when I got back yesterday. Don't know since when, my mum started to make 2 types - one is so called the 海南粽 and another type is the normal kind of triangle shape Bak Zhang (Hakka style). What's the difference between Hainan Bak Zhang and the normal Bak Zhang? Here are some comments.....

Hainan Bak Zhang are not easily available in market. Hence, my cousins in KL "orders" from my 3rd auntie. Ask the family to make for them and the Bak Zhang will be delievered by another cousin who studies in KL. haha~~ This year they're making business like that as orders are from "internal ppl" everywhere. My mum received order from my aunt also but don't think she committed to the order... hehe.... According to my cousin, one Hainan Bak Zhang costs around RM8. Wow~~ that's pricey!

How does a Hainan Bak Zhang looks like? Here's the picture....... it looks like a pillow basically.

Looking at the Bak Zhang, I recalled the days when grandma and grandpa were still around... Ah Po made excellent Hainan Bak Zhang. Fragrant, yellowish sticky rice mixed with the fragrance of the leaves (don't know what leave is that though). It's just perfect match! When Bak Zhang's time come, cousin could have taken 2 or 3 in a go..... All these are in remembrance, stay in memory only.... the taste is not retrievable... although I admit my mum makes excellent Bak Zhang also.

To all the 游子.... my treat to you...
Mr KY, dare you say I wu liao?!

Meal at Lavender

While shopping at Tebrau City, I felt very hungry... Think of getting some snacks to fill the stomach. By my nature, my first choice would be Old Town - for coffee/tea and toast. But my brother wanted more variety. So, we decided to go Lavender.

It's been a year plus since I last had lunch at Lavender (Senai Airport). That was when I was out office at Senai. I could still remember the Iced Mocha... look attractive and taste good. Look at the picture.... it really looked attractive.

Usually when I had nothing in mind as to what to eat, I'd normally go for chef recommended food. I saw this "Treasure box". It looked good in the picture and the description was as such: "White bread, egg, chicken, garlic with homemade white source". Hmm... garlic? I was thinking maybe it was thick toast spreaded with garlic butter. The golden color outlook of bread could be caused by egg. So, I was imaging maybe the bread was covered by pan-fried egg or something. Also, I was thinking it could be taste like 棺材板 as I tried at 士林夜市. (Taiwan's snacks didn't really impressed me, except for 棺材板.....)

So, here it comes.....

Looked good BUT bread was deep fried !!!! Oh gosh~~~ I don't understand why they ppl like to deep fried bread. Don't they reckon bread will absorb the oil and the bread tastes really awful regardless how crispy the bread is? -_-

Take off the cover.. ohh... now then I noticed the bread was filled with soup. It's not the white gravvy that I previously imagined. It's soup. Corn soup with chicken.

Finished the soup and I cut a bit of bread, I was filled... Couldn't finish the rest of it... That's how much the leftover... wasted huh? It'd be best to waste as it's oily....

If you were to have meal at Lavender, please don't order this "treasure box". I don't think it worth as much as you pay for. I strongly recommend spagetti. Seafood spagetti, yummy ~~~

Sometimes you only need a listener

I was talking to Michelle during lunch, who is also a Malaysian who has been working in sg for many years. I didn’t tell much of the details but was merely telling her that I’m not happy.

I get to know Michelle because of Company A. The engagement could be the worst engagement in my portfolio but fortunate enough, the staffs there are friendly and nice. That trade-off the unfortunate of doing audit for this entity. I appreciate the help Michelle offers me during the course of audit. Personally, I also think she’s also a good listener. At least she knows my feeling. Yeah... sometimes we merely need a listener. He/she doesn't need to understand what you're talking about (basically most of the time they don't understand). You only need someone who will listen to you. Those who will listen patiently is your friend. That's a way to vent our unhappiness.

She suggested me to have a backup plan since I don’t enjoy what I’m doing now. Yeah… she’s right. She asked me to apply PR asap as a backup so that I hop to wherever I want to go. In fact, I’m not really interested in PR as I don’t even know whether I’ll be working or staying in sg in near future. My initial plan is only for short-term. But now, it seems to me that getting PR will be the ultimate choice if I don’t intend to stay with this firm anymore.

Ahh..... How I wish I could spend my day at a resort with no worries.

And enjoy the spa and massage.....

Have good food under the moonlight......

Just eat, enjoy and and sleep only. Sounds good eh?

So we set to spend one of our weekend like this in July, either Turibeach or Batam View Resort. I didn't manage to go with yiqi last time in May, so I must die die make it this round!

Who else is interested?

Suddenly think of this topic because Melvin said: "I gonna brush up my Taiji skill.... if not it's a waste staying in audit firm here.. " Hmm.... why are we so pathetic?

Personally I think 三十六计 is more useful... although some of them are wicked brilliant.

For so many tactics, how many do you apply in life? I most want to learn and apply Hehe..... Sigh... but my face doesn't hide a thing....

For your information, 2 handsome had already posted their report, hence... I'm not going to comment further. Hehe.....

Advise you drop this movie.... I believe we're standing on the same line. The movie didn't leave me much of the impression basically because I didn't quite catch the lines. hehe... I believe you'd feel the same too... most probably you'll fall asleep in the cinema like Blake.... but if you do fall asleep.... please don't snore.... hoho.....

A lesson in life - got a shock of my life

"Do you know that your click will have implication on your performance? It will also affect other's perceptions on you. Try to mix around with ppl within our mentor group, they're very responsible people." My mentor manager told me this. I don't know what she's trying to imply. I only know my heart sank when I got this informal advise from her.

I have close friends in office. So, what? Whoever I want to close with, whoever I want to make friends with, they also want to have a say. Work is work, personal is personal. Can't I make judgement on what's wrong and what's right myself? Am I taking words from others blindly? I'm not born yesterday, okay?? (Lesson to learn: mix around with ppl they like and it must be seen by them. Being close with their pets behind them is also useless.)

I get so moody today and I'm thinking my next course of action again... it's a bad cycle to me, keep repeating and repeating. One time I thought I'm alright; then, I'm so listless and down.

Please... please... please.... don't torture my mentality anymore. I will lose the strength to move on

Yeah.. maybe ppl are right... I should have just left last time... But I must be responsible for my own decision. If not because I withdrew my resignation letter, I wouldn't have learnt so much lessons in my life, would I?

Dusty room.....

For those who stayed in sg, do you think your room is dusty? I really cannot stand it and I close off all the windows, big or small and will never open again.......

One day trip to Bukit Lamba

It's been a year since last visit to Bukit Lamba. Melvin suddenly proposed the idea of climbing Bukit Lamba on Friday and we set off to Kluang the next day morning! Crazy. But anyway, Kluang is very near to JB. It's only 1 hour plus drive.

Talking about Kluang, there's something I wouldn't miss if I travelled to Kluang. That's the coffee shop at Kluang Railway Station.

Little renovation noted. At least a proper board was put up to show the name. hehe.

My usual way of order: Baked soft bun + hot drink (Coffee or Tea)

After breakfast, we went straight to Bukit Lamba. It was quite crowded as it was public holiday on June 2, 2006. I was merely told by my mum it was public holiday, not knowing what exactly the day was. Majority were from JB as we met a few groups of ppl from JB. Some were practicing for their Mount KK, some came for the sake of hiking. A word from a uncle I find it very funny: "You also from JB? 为什么这么多傻人??" Well.... it's a place for exercise... where do you see mountain or hill in JB?

Visitors are welcomed by the hanging bridge....

The way to half hill is not a difficult task to anyone. Basically you just walk only. There are made with staircase for easier climbing. Certain part is quite steep though.

There are staircases.... Just take your step slowly...

Little waterfall on the way to half hill.

We took about 30 minutes to reach half hill, including the time we took pictures here and there. It's not a difficult task right? But then, by the time we reach half hill, we're actually in a sweat.

Journey to top hill is a challenge to me. The path is not nicely constructed and one really needs support from the tree root and robe all along the way. No more staircase and no more walk along the way but climb.

Rocks are everywhere......

Steep and rockery... but路是人走出来的....

*scream* AAAaaaaa.... 恶心

From half hill to top hill it took us about 45 mins.

A view at top hill... it's nothing though...

Bukit Lamba is a good place for exercise. It's not really difficult to climb. I saw auntie, uncles and even kids can do it. It further evidences that it's a place for family. But then, again, 上山容易下山难, what old ppl said are right. Going down, one must be very very careful cos it's slippery. An advice is to lower down your body, 放低重心, it helps. :) That's also why you'll get your body sore and pain the next day. hehe..

Strongly recommended

Do you find your face oily 2 hours later you apply your moisturiser at night? Or when you wake up in the morning you also find your face's shinning especially your nose? The moisturiser I use is cream. It is a medium-weight cream and hence it's oily compared to other moisturiser. Hence, I always find my face becomes shining and I don't quite like the sticky feeling.

Ettusias was the first brand I looked at after I dumped those counter products. I read about Medicated Acne Night Time Defense Powder at Cari and their comments sort of drew my attention. I've been using for about 2 months time and I think it's great. It resolves the problem I have with moisturiser and I feel my skin fresh!

Medicated Acne Night Time Defense Powder

p/s: Misty, this is the one I wanted to tell you last time but the url was not accessable. I think this costs more in Singapore. But this brand is only available in KL...

Parkson's Member Day

It happened to be Parkson's Member Day yesterday while it's also public holiday in Singapore. I merely recalled a promoter of Kose called me before with regards this, or I wouldn't never know. Thinking that I have some comestic products to shop, hence, I decided to risk for a shopping opportunity where there could have no parkings, long queue at cashier and grabbing stuffs with the crowds, for which I hate the most.

Talking about member day, I can barely recalled the awful shopping experience on Jusco's Member Day. It also fell on weekdays, I specifically took leave on that day to accompany my mum. Woke up very early in the morning (at around 9am ~ yeah, it's really early for me especially it's for shopping purpose) so that we could be the first few early birds to "snatch" the parking lot easily. Well... we're not the only "kiasu" ppl. "Kiasu" aunties were all around. After an hour Jusco barely started business, the shopping centre had flooded with ppl. Two hours later before noon, I immersed myself in the ppl flood and couldn't easily move around. I was also frustrated when come to pay as the queue was really LONG. So in the end, I didn't get a thing as the shopping mood was spoiled and I told myself never to shop on whatever member days as it's just a waste of time. An advice to Jusco shoppers - Should you want to shop during member day, visit the store the day before member day, have a full grasp of what you want and list it down. On member day itself, grab the things you want within the first hour and go!

Back to Parkson's Member Day... I've never been to Holiday Plaza for long long time. Maybe 2 years since I last visited, or longer than that I guess. Basically I don't like Holiday Plaza cos I don't have a good feel about this shopping mall. Ppl there don't really look nice and friendly. To the contrary, many Ah Beng, Ah Seng and Ah Lians. (No offence please.... That's exactly the feeling) It wasn't really crowded yesterday whereby I got my car parked nicely within 5 mins and I finished shopping at Parkson within an hour (partly because there wasn't much that interest me). What did I buy yesterday?

1. Britney Spears Curious

The smell is alright for me. I bought it partly because the design of the bottle and the packaging. The packaging is very unique right? :)

2. Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum
I don't anyhow buy facial product ever since I'd paid so much "tuition fee" for trying out many brands. But now, I'm Dermalogica's user and I don't look at other brands since then. This product from Clarins drew my attention. I tried out and I like the texture very much. This serum is not oily at all and it's absorbed by skin within seconds!
Inevitably, our pores are enlarged with age. Precaution is essential at this awkward age (not young but yet old). If you're looking for the similar product, I strongly recommend this.

3. YvesSaintLaurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)

This is the star product of YvesSaintLaurent. This can be used as concealer, as well as a highlighter that brightens your complexion. I came across this by chance. I think the most common concealer that other brands usually have are concealer stick which I don't really like it. I was looking for one in liquid form. I was stunned by the design of this concealer. Amazing and awesome! You press the button and the liquid will flow to the brush. What you need to do is just to brush at the area you want to apply and blend lightly with fingertips. Easy to use! Moreover, the texture is so fine and it looks natural on your face. It can even used without make up!

Read the review from other media.

I bought this for the sake of buying. Basically I need a loose powder at a cheaper price than SKII. I have one and I leave it at Singapore. The size of the packing is not convenient to carry around. Hence, I thought of getting another brand (I'm sure any other brand is cheaper than SKII for sure) and leave it at home in JB for use. This is an easy to carry loose powder and it doesn't bring much burden to your face. It could also be a star product of Clarins, I think. The powder is compact, unlike the usual loose powder we see in the market, which is really in loose form. If you're running out of loose powder and feel like trying out other brand, get this!

Don't ask me how much are these 4 products in total. I didn't count.... :)
